Can you imagine a home renovation project which is so good that it adds a third to your property value?

In South London a couple of savvy homeowners decided to convert their loft and totally renovate the rest of the property. They added two extra bedrooms to their Edwardian three bedroom mid-terrace house & created a light and airy feel using a high end finish throughout.

The homeowners had initially planned to renovate the property, taking 6 months to complete, & make it their forever home. However, once they called in the Estate Agent/Realtor for a valuation & realised how much equity the renovations had added to the property, they couldn’t help but sell up and move on to their next project.

This loft conversion also allowed for the addition of a gorgeous bathroom which included the introduction of skylights and the installation of minimalistic modern suite.

The homeowners choose a modern style for the kitchen renovation, with a minimalistic look.  They chose solid wood work tops to compliment the oak flooring in the open plan area & extended the look throughout the whole property.

During the building works they discovered a large cavity above the existing ceiling of one of the original bedrooms so they decided to raise the ceiling by a metre giving a much more spacious feeling to the room.

We can’t always add so much equity to a home as this project but, done well, renovations do improve the chances of reselling the property at a higher price.
