If you are going to use a can of paint up completely in one or two days this tip doesn’t really apply but…

If you open a can of paint for a job & you want to save the paint for another job in a couple of days or weeksor even months make sure you wipe the top edge of the can clean, & the edge of the lid, before putting the lid back on.

Opening & closing a can of paint over a number of days can have ghastly results.   Matt emulsion for example dries in the edge of the can & cracks into pieces which fall into the roller tray when you next pour the paint… you end up with lumpy gritty paint which will not give you a great result

Bit pernickety or sensible?  What do you think?
